Westgold Resources is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Resource Geologist to join our Technical Services team.

This is a full-time position, based in Perth and reporting directly to the Principal Resource Geologist.

The role is critical in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of resource modelling and reporting across our operations, in accordance with JORC Code 2012 standards. The role includes site travel on an as-needed basis.



Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain Mineral Resource models aligned with corporate objectives
  • Compile Group Resource and Reserve Statements and associated commentaries
  • Provide geological input into Life of Mine planning
  • Communicate resource estimation concepts across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Identify and manage geological risks and opportunities
  • Maintain technical standards for geological modelling, grade control, and reconciliation
  • Lead Resource Development drilling programs and generate prospective targets
  • Produce detailed geological reports and submissions
  • Mentor technical staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives



Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the mining industry, with at least 5 years in gold
  • Minimum 3 years in a technical or leadership capacity
  • Proven experience in resource estimation and geological modelling
  • Proficiency in GEOVIA Surpac, Leapfrog Geo and Snowden Supervisor software
  • Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Current WA Class “C” Driver’s Licence and National Police Clearance (within 12 months)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Mineral Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
